Yay, spring! Even though I barely busted out the parka this winter, I'm ready for a change. 78-degree days in February are spooky. But in March, they're fabulous. And they smell better.
Could it have been a yearning for spring that led me to green for my powder room? My Irish heritage?...
We returned from Miami to freezing temps and aspirational snow on the ground. Sad any way you look at it.
As I Tweeted, the hotel itself, the Royal Palm, was lovely. A page out of old Miami: a tidy and tasteful room (I'm not a believer in big bedrooms, let alone big hotel rooms) and a sweeping view.
For this color-obsessed design maven, the white walls, drapes and bedding - and I mean WHITE, not ivory, cream, light taupe, or gray - made a big impression....

Let me back up. I haven't yet confessed to you that I went on a bit of a decorating bender at the end of 2011....
Kristie at The Decorologist broke the news to me first. Pantone's color of the year for 2012 is a dark reddish orange called Tangerine Tango.
Sigh. Was it too much to hope for a nice, grassy green?

Rather than continuing to disappoint you every time you rush to your computer in excited anticipation of bossy color blog's next installment (I hope the gentle sarcasm is coming through), I am going to declare, officially, that bossy color blog is on hiatus this summer...
