Gentle Readers, I hope that on Friday afternoon, August 13, you will become Gentle WATCHERS and tune in to NBC4. I will put the exact time on my Instagram account as soon as I have it. [UPDATE: it will air around 5:45 p.m.]
NBC4 will be featuring author Jason Reynolds‘ home in Kingman Park, which we designed. There likely will be a snippet from me, but honestly, Jason’s interview was so compelling…it should (and likely will!) be the bulk of the story!
Jason talks about the concept of home, what it means to him, and how he honors his family through the items he chooses to feature in his house. It’s quite moving, to be honest.
We designed 2 floors of his house a few years ago…
…and the project was featured in the Wall Street Journal (so exciting!).
Now we’ve almost finished the upper two floors of Jason’s house, and the amazing Erika Gonzalez of NBC4 wanted to give viewers a sneak peek! This is her very last story before going on maternity leave ;)
It just so happens that Jason has a FANTASTIC interview in the current New Yorker, so *I* think the timing of our story is perfect!
If you miss the story live — and I’m not suggesting that you should! — it should air again over the weekend and then a longer-format version (I told you Jason’s interview was compelling!) will be available on Roku and AppleTV.
Don’t you worry; I’ll keep you posted ;)
