Just today, I was having lunch w/ my friend and fellow blogger Ketura Persellin, and she mentioned that she had yet to find the perfect mirror for her less-than-perfect bathroom. I suggested that a mirror with some visual interest – rather than a plain frameless one – could be just the thing to distract her from the outdated vanity, the unfortunate light fixture, etc.
But where to go to find said mirror? Well, Ketura, so glad you asked. When I was in Philadelphia over Thanksgiving, I popped into a Ten Thousand Villages store. Do you know these? There isn’t a store listing on their website, but they seem to have a pretty impressive online operation, also.
Here’s a real bonus: the prices are very, VERY reasonable. I don’t think any of those mirrors were more than $100 – sort of in the $30-$70 range. How easily do we fork over $100 at Pottery Barn or Crate & Barrel?
And here’s an even better reason to feel good about spending your money at 10,000 Villages: they’re a founding member of the International Fair Trade Association. Click here to see how this benefits artisans around the world. It’s all good.
