And it’s great!!!
I have to dash off to an appointment, but I promised to let you know the second it arrived. My lovely neighbor signed for it yesterday afternoon, so last night we left the girls in front of the Olympics (don’t call social services; it was women’s hockey – excellent girl power infusion) and retrieved it.
Here is the pictorial essay. Or, as they say on American Idol, the “journey.”
I knew the minute I cut off the packaging that it would be ok. The wool was NOT mint green, and at this point, that was my biggest fear.
Crossing fingers just in case.
Ooooh…does this sofa fabric look ok? No, no, don’t get ahead of yourself.
I can TOTALLY work with this rug. The pictures wash it out a bit, and it’s probably more baby blue than I would have wanted, but it’s really very, very pretty.
And it feels good. Georgie said it even smelled good, but I explained that was the smell of neglect, seeing as how it was trapped at the UPS facility in Landover for a week.
Ruthie also thinks it feels good.
It hits me: I HAVE A LIVING ROOM RUG! In the spirit of the Olympics…
Remember Brandi Chastain? Ah, well.
