Several months ago, a wonderful client allowed me to dissect her “bossy basic” on the blog. Remember this?

Well, Audrey wins the “Best Follow-Up” award. She kindly posted in-progress pictures and comments on this Picasa web album. Audrey, you rock. Thank you so much.
I thought it might be fun to juxtapose a few “before” and “in-progress” pictures here.
Here’s a before: yellow/cream walls that were driving Audrey crazy:

And here, she’s repainted the walls Benjamin Moore’s HC-45 Shaker Beige and relocated a bookcase from the dining room:

The desk in the “before” looks totally charming, but it didn’t have sentimental value to Audrey, and we needed a place for books near the reading area we’re going to create at the bottom of the stairs.

As for Shaker Beige…I know, I know. I’ve written about it a LOT. But it’s a great color! How about I try not to recommend Shaker Beige to anyone for a whole month. Deal?
Here’s another before, at the fireplace end of the living room:

And here’s the in-progress, with re-upholstered chairs. As Audrey and I wrote in the Picasa album, the red fabric is probably more graphic than I would have chosen, but it’s a definite improvement!
Finally, we’d discussed moving this black cabinet from the LR:

To the DR, where it makes more sense:

Thanks again for the update, Audrey! Keep us posted!
