I don’t know about you, but at this time of year I can barely wrench open my front door because of all the catalogs that have dropped through the mail slot. (Pick up the darn things and put them on a table, you say? I’ll give that some thought.)
These little plates – the “comic appetizer plates” – 
in the CB2 catalog jumped out at me as a totally adorable hostess present. I hate showing up at a holiday party w/ yet another bottle of wine, but homemade cookies are beyond my skill level. It’s still October: you could order 9 of these TODAY, put ribbon around them in sets of 3, and be good to go. (Did I mention that they’re an unbelievable $2.95 each?)
I also like that they’re not holiday-themed. What do you do with your Rudolph wine bags the other 11 months of the year?
