There’s a mea culpa blog entry I’ll post on the heels of this one explaining-slash-apologizing for the blog silence of late, but first…
I want to tell you about a new project. I’m really excited about it!

Color Outlook is a quarterly series of 1-hour podcasts about color trends. Six color experts talk about which colors we’re working with right now and which we believe will gain in popularity in the months to come. It’s color forecasting on an immediate scale, unlike annual color pronouncements from on high.

I know, I know: I have mixed feelings about “forecasting” also. All six of us do, as a matter of fact.

But Color Outlook founder and color strategist Lori Sawaya (aka “funcolors” in various social media) believes that one “color of the year” simply isn’t enough for those of us who work in this field. Or to those of us who are just plain interested in color. And THAT we all agree on.
And here’s a clip from the press release, featuring Rachel Perls and Amy Woolf. The other brilliant geniuses involved are Kelly Berg (I’m sure you know her terrific blog, Arte Styling) and Paula Doelling-Lynn.
So if you’re serious about color – if you work in the field or if you’re color-obsessed (or both!) – please consider joining Color Outlook and getting access to the quarterly podcasts, Show Notes, and regional color card overviews. It’s useful stuff – and if you’re a color nerd, it’s also really, really interesting.

Annie Elliott – aka bossy color – is an interior decorator and design blogger in Washington, D.C. She’s considered an expert on color, residential space planning, and telling people what to do in the nicest way possible. She’s also a proud member of the Color Outlook team: 6 experts from across the country who podcast quarterly about color trends and forecasts.
