I can’t tell you how happy I am that wallpaper is coming back. Check out this Neisha Crosland wallpaper (Caravan in Chocolate) that a client used in her dining room. We could have gone with dark brown on the wainscoting, but the room would have turned into a cave. Not necessarily a bad look, but not right for this client. So we used a pinkish taupe for the wainscoting and an icy light yellow for the ceiling coffers. Mission accomplished: the colors complement the wallpaper beautifully, and the room is cozy but not oppressive.
Don’t you love the hot pink Victorian sofa in here? A sofa in the dining room is so decadent…you might have to elbow out the other dinner party guests to stake your claim, but it’s worth it. Roll right from the table to the sofa and the conversation doesn’t miss a beat.
