Potomac, MD: A cozy family home
Our goal for this residential interior design project was to brighten up and modernize an Arts & Crafts home. Wallpapering the foyer in a large-scale pattern with a white background was a critical first move, brightening the space and adding visual interest. We used wallpaper throughout the first floor, including grasscloth in the dining room and family room and patterned wallpaper in the front hall and up the staircase, the powder room, and the whimsical laundry room. The laundry room is especially fun, with its dog-patterned wallpaper from Jane Churchill, and red wall tile and floor tile from Waterworks.
In addition to creating a cohesive design plan, Annie Elliott Design’s services for this project included space planning and sourcing, procuring, and installing custom window treatments, custom upholstery, wallpaper, paint, living room furniture, family room furniture, furniture, and rugs. Annie Elliott Design worked with Horizon Builders on tile selections and other finish selections for the kitchen and laundry room. We also provided art selection and installation services and styling services.
Resources for this residential design project included Phillip Jeffries, Anna French, Stark Carpet, Penny Morrison, Jane Churchill, Waterworks, Jane Churchill, and Galbraith and Paul
