Cleveland Park Condominium: A modern mix of color, pattern, and light
This double-height condominium in Cleveland Park, DC, was a blank slate when our client moved in. With a dual love of bright sunlight and rich jewel tones, our client wanted to celebrate both in their new home. We created a cozy boudoir on the second floor, with navy grasscloth on the walls, custom drapes, an antelope rug, and a custom upholstered oversized chair. The bedroom is similarly cozy, with deep teal walls and a single scenic Roman shade covering two windows. On the first floor, we used a black and white geometric wallpaper on most of the walls, and we created an accent wall with a dramatic, oversized, colorful wallpaper. We used rugs to define the living and dining areas within the open floor plan.
In addition to creating a cohesive design plan, our interior design services included space planning and sourcing, procuring, and installing custom window treatments, custom upholstery, wallpaper, paint, living room furniture, dining room furniture, and rugs. We also provided art selection and installation services and styling services. Resources included Schumacher, Timorous Beasties, Romo, Stark Carpet (Missoni, Ashley Stark), Phillip Jeffries, Visual Comfort, and Haller.
