Friendship Heights: A bright, happy family home
Happy colors take center stage throughout this four-story family home, from the office and teenager- and dog-friendly game room on the lowest level, to the dining room and family rooms on the main floor, to a primary bedroom and bathroom suite and three children’s bedrooms on the second floor, to a multi-purpose family room on the sunny third floor.
Many of the walls are white, as in the dining room and primary bedroom, but color is provided through patterned fabric on the custom bedding, pillows, chairs, and window treatments. The sunny family room at the top of the house features kelly green grasscloth wallpaper and custom built-in shelving and custom cabinetry, which we designed and Pinehurst Renovations (formerly Gilday Renovations) built and installed. The room includes a gallery wall of artwork and a series of English antique bird prints.
Our services for this residential interior design project in Friendship Heights, DC, included space planning and sourcing, procuring, and installing custom window treatments, custom dining room furniture, custom living room furniture, light fixtures, rugs, wallpaper, and paint. We worked extensively with Pinehurst Renovations (formerly Gilday Renovations) on this project. Annie Elliott Design also purchased multiple artworks to create two gallery walls of artwork.
Design resources for this project included Stark Carpet, Woodbridge, Schumacher (including the iconic Citrus Garden fabric from Josef Frank), China Seas, Visual Comfort, and Thibaut.
