Washington, D.C.: A whimsical Victorian update
The keyword for this Victorian townhouse is fun. The clients wanted to create a whimsical home that featured happy, bright colors and colorful patterns. We created and implemented an interior design plan for three floors of this dog-friendly residence. We created a dining nook in one corner of the living room that includes a custom built-in banquette. The powder room was transformed by whimsical multi-colored wallpaper. The foyer features custom-designed wallpaper in a light blue and white abstract cloud pattern. The second floor is the primary suite, which includes a bedroom, bath, laundry room, and walk-in closets.
Our interior design services included custom window treatments, the design and fabrication of custom furniture, custom upholstery and pillows, and the selection of lighting fixtures, bedding, rugs, and other furniture. Our design services also included art selection, placement, and art hanging.
Resources for this residential interior design project included Quadrille, China Seas, Woodbridge, Visual Comfort, Cole & Son, Clarence House, Brunschwig et Fils, Zoffany, and Schumacher.
