Somerset: A contemporary downsize
These empty-nesters had decided that it was time to leave their family home in NW Washington DC and move to a condo more suited to an active couple’s lifestyle. Enter Treacy Eagleburger architects, who transformed a Somerset apartment in Chevy Chase, Maryland to suit the clients’ needs. The public spaces connect seamlessly, and there is enough sleeping space when grown children visit for the holidays.
Annie Elliott Design’s decorating services for this Chevy Chase condo project included selecting rugs; contemporary furniture; wallpaper; and designing custom window treatments, custom furniture, custom bedding, and custom pillows. AED’s services also included art installation of the clients’ collection of modern art.
The furniture, fabrics, and rugs for this interior design project came from Phillip Jeffries, Janus et Cie, Capel Rugs, Jamie Young, Visual Comfort, A. Rudin, B&B Italia, Julian Chichester, Holly Hunt, Poltrona Frau, Century Furniture, Schumacher, Romo, Brunschwig et Fils, and Gaston y Daniela, among other resources.
