Chevy Chase, MD: A cheerful and sophisticated family home
For this project, Annie Elliott Design worked with contractors and a kitchen designer to redesign a connected kitchen, butler’s pantry, and family room. Charcoal gray cabinets are a sophisticated part of this light-filled kitchen, in which AED did custom banquette seat cushions and pillows and chairs upholstered in Anna French and Jane Churchill fabric. The Jonathan Adler puzzle light fixture hangs above the dining table from Hickory White, and the Stickley sectional in the family room sits atop a vintage Oriental rug. Annie Elliott Design styled the built-in bookcases in the family room and music room.
In the primary bedroom suite (formerly called a master bedroom suite), AED created an elegant, serene sanctuary using the client’s existing Stickley furniture. Annie Elliott Design did custom bedding and custom drapes and with a beautiful light blue Romo fabric and added a custom-size broadloom carpet. AED did the art selection, including art by Liza Houston over the bed, and added light fixtures from Visual Comfort. Annie Elliott Design worked with the bath designer on the primary bath, which includes navy blue cabinets, marble countertops and floor, and a custom curtain.
