Aspire Showhouse: A bird-filled bedroom
When Annie Elliott Design was invited to participate in the ASPIRE Design & Home showhouse, we created a garden bedroom filled with birds. The space had a challenging soffit, so we designed a half canopy (also known as a half tester) to make the ceilings appear taller. The pink and green palette for this room is bright but cozy, and the design is driven by a green, blue and white floral patterned fabric from Cowtan & Tout. The light pink grasscloth on the walls provides texture and adds interest to this large room.
Interior design resources Annie Elliott Design used for this project included Schumacher, Stark Carpet, Cowtan & Tout, Port Eliot, Century Furniture, Kenian, Woodbridge, and vintage stores. We also purchased and borrowed bird-themed artwork from several sources.
